Five Pakistan Women Buried Alive

I don’t have the words to say how this post makes me feel. Apart from those who are involved in this inhumane activity should be given a worst punishment that everyone in this world can witnesses it so that no one in any country even thinks about doing it.
This case was being reported by The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC). They received information that in a remote village of Balochistan Province of Pakistan five women were buried alive. (AHRC)

The offender of this bloody crime is the younger brother of Mr. Sadiq Umrani, The provincial Minister and leader of the ruling party Pakistan People’s Party. The performance of the police is shameful is because they haven’t made any arrest and now one month has passed. Due to the strong influence of the ruling party minister no notice was taken even to the media.

The two 16-18 years old girl accompanied with Fauzia daughter of Ata Mohammad Umrani, Ms. Fatima wife of Umeed Ali Umrani, Jannat Bibi wife of Qaiser khan were due to visit the civil court so that the young girls can marry the men of their choice.

The elders of the tribe refused to give the permission to them to marry the men of their choice. Mr. Abdul Sattar Umrani heard about their plan for court marriage, he accompanied six armed people and kidnapped them when there were on the way to the court. The influence of the Minister can be judged by the fact that they used the vehicle with government number plate so that no one would dare to stop them. He together with his six armed people started beating the woman and later opened gun fire. The girls were seriously injured but alive. Sattar Umrani together with six other people started burying the girl. The two women protested against the burial but they were also beaten and buried alive in the ditch. After the burial they fired gun shots in the air.

One month has now passed but the police haven’t registered the case because of the provincial minister of the ruling party People’s Party. Because of the fear the victim’s family left the place and no one knows about the whereabouts of them.
Before even calling this a shameful event, let me highlight it over here that why the People’s Party is not in the favour of restoring the judiciary of Pakistan. The reason is because an incident like this occurred in past in 2006 when a school teacher was going in taxi with his lover was stopped and killed including the driver. In this incident again the police was afraid to show any kind of involvement unless Mr Iftekhar Choudhry the chief justice of Pakistan took a serious notice of this incident. Unfortunately he was suspended by the Military dictator Gen Musharraff because the chief justice was a man of law and was noticing all criminal activities around the country.

I would like to add, the minimum punishment for such crime in Pakistan is to be hanged till dead, if the chief justice including the judiciary was not suspended than such incidents would not have occurred. The ruling party which is not in the favour of restoring the judiciary is welcomed by United States included British government. About People’s party leader who is co chairman by will is known as Mr Ten Percent has outstanding cases of corruption money laundering etc. I think the people who did this bloody crime shall be punished together with the supporters who are the police and the supporters. Law is same for everyone.

Pakistani Traffic Police Taking A Bribe

The video you are about to witness is a shameful incident that occurred in Pakistan, a traffic policeman was actually taking a bribe in this video and someone is making the video on the cell phone. Just imagine with corrupt law enforcement officers who will abide by the law. This is not a rare event apart from motor way police; you will find other law enforcement officer mostly involved in taking bribes.

Let us shame them and hope that they will change.

Cyber Citizens Loosing Freedom of Web

A Global village which is not governed by any set of rules or in simple words which is not under the jurisdiction of any country faces different kinds of threat from almost every country. The main concern of many countries is to filter information which is available online. In simple words we can say that the government wants to hide the truth. Well we all know the fact on print and electronic media such as TV channels and Newspaper mostly they show us only that picture of argument which they believe to be true or in other words which the government of that particular country allows to publish.

All of you people will be familiar with the laws regarding the print media and electronic media. For instance we take the example of (PEMRA) Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority now what actually this authority does is to monitor the activities of the Media so we only see the one side of the argument which PEMRA allows them to publish. So in other countries media is also monitored by some authorities but this is not the case with the Global village or the Cyber World, here we don’t have any jurisdiction.

Most of the people think that Internet comes under the jurisdiction of the country in which they are living, for instance USA thinks they have jurisdiction over the Internet, whereas other countries will think they have the jurisdiction over the Internet. Well I will take a simple example over here that is if there is a contract formed over the Internet let suppose I am forming a contract with someone in United States. I will think that United Kingdom Law is supreme therefore UK law will apply whereas the other person will think that United States law is supreme and therefore USA law will apply. In the end you will get a very strange answer that a contract formed over the email is invalid whereas a contract formed over the website is valid. But still it will not give you the answer that which country governs the Cyber world.

The main purpose of the above discussion is to tell all the readers that when no country governs the internet why they use their dirty tactics to ban information over the website from reaching end users. If there is a problem on websites it is the webmasters who sort them out, it is them who shall be appreciated for sharing the information free without any prejudice. Banning the websites is taking the right of freedom of expression from the webmasters as well as users.

Recently China has banned the ITUNE music store was banned when athletes reportedly downloaded protest songs over Tibet. The songs were offered free of charge to download but what happened the website was banned by so called “Great Firewall of China” which should be condemned and shamed.
Another incident was when Gregorian authorities blocked websites of Russian News Broadcasters on the other hand Russian did the same. Discussion forums were being targeted people on both sides are seriously concerned about their freedom of the web.

United States and India have unrestricted Internet whereas more than 40 countries filter the web content. Isn’t it shameful or isn’t it shocking. We all know the fact that our freedom of web is being infringed in some or another but what can we do.

Ex-police rapist alert

A POLICE force is warning victims of rapist ex-cop Adam Carruthers on red alert after it was revealed he is STILL a risk to women. The shamed ex police inspector was locked up for 11 years back in 2001 as a result of a disgusting double rape Adam Carruthers is going to be released from prison in a few weeks after serving just two-thirds of his prison term.

High ranked police officers that questioned the rapist in prison believe that Adam Carruthers still poses a risk as he does not show any remorse for his cruel attacks. Carruthers was accused of offences by up to 38 victims and police are today warning his victims to be on their guard.

One of Carruthers victims said: “I know from the amount of violence I faced that he is reckless and evil and I believe no woman is safe once he is free. “He must be watched, round the clock. I’m sure he will rape again.” The rapist alerted police of the risks when he was visited in jail by police officers of his old force. He was visited in order to assess the Likelihood of him reoffending.
A Sergeant and Police Inspector there to remind the beast to register as a sex offender, but informants stated the officers were appalled by Carruthers attitude.

One police officer revealed: Carruthers still claims that he never committed the offences claiming it was all a big conspiracy. These beliefs make him out as really dangerous.” A different source said: “The constabulary are viewing the list of women that Carruthers was accused of raping, abusing or harassing. “Several of the victims fear him and feel steps should be taken to reassure them.”

A special constable that was raped by the beast in her own home back in 1996, She attempted to kill herself after she received a telephone call from the freak briefly after she reported him for the attack.
He also raped a wife of another police officer, she also tried to kill herself and she was attacked by the beast the very day that she was released from hospital. It’s believed that Carruther is due to be released as early as next month.

Prison insiders stated He is in complete denial and displays no remorse for his crimes and he has declined to take part in treatment programmes. Some people will argue he still remains a very dangerous person.
A police investigation establish Carruthers, might have assaulted up to 38 victims, although further criminal prosecution wasn’t exercised.

Last night, a joint statement from Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary and the local council said: “We endeavour to work closely with any victim of a serious sexual offence and offer support to them.” Last night, an SPS spokesman said: “We cannot comment on individuals.”

Lost Data 84,000 Prisoners Details Lost

I know that now in every six months we expect from government to lose confidential data related with the citizens of the United Kingdom. Now another news is roaring around on media that now we have lost data of 84,000 prisoners which contains confidential information.

This time the firm involved is one which won £240 million of Government Contracts known as PA Consulting. The staff of the firm won the contract of £160 an hour to work on the labours Identity Card Scheme. The United Kingdom is soon going to start the new Identity Card Scheme because of the security concerns. It shocking that the firm which lost the memory stick containing the data about 84,000 prisoners in England and Wales was also paid to help and design the Identity Cards. The most shocking is that the data contained important information about Britain most prolific Criminals. It is not easy to swallow because the number is not few it is 43,000.

PA Consulting earned £96 million since 2004 and the major contracts involved information relating to Ministry of Defence, Treasury, Cabinet Office plus the Department for Children health and Transport. Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is facing lot of criticism for this recent loss of data. He ordered review of the Home Office contracts.

The Government Identity Card Scheme which already received a lot of criticism from different groups is now facing some serious trouble here as the group opposing the scheme don’t feel safe to share confidential information about every individual in United Kingdom with the government.

What image the government is creating by such big mistakes regarding data loss. The firm should be shamed for not taking necessary precautions regarding data loss. It is a clear example of incompetent work.

Shamed Yobs Returned Stolen Statue

It sometimes happens when you are ashamed you will try to do something to restore the act which has been committed. It happened when a stolen statue which was designed by the special needs children was returned with £50 for the repairs and an apology note.

The yobs stole one of the 3 seven foot metal men statuses know as the workers. It was designed for a roundabout in Haslingden, Lancs. The yobs heard that the kids were upset and were in tears because of the stolen statue.

The apology letter stated that

“Sorry, We were drunk at the time, don’t worry we have looked after him”
The statue was returned two days after the incident with £50 for re-welding.

Yobs actually restored their shamed act not only by returning the statue but also paying for the rework. They should be appreciated for not letting the children down. It should be noted here that when you are shamed, you still get a chance to restore or make amends your shameful act which yobs actually proved.

Doctor Involved In Kidney Scam

 
A doctor named Dr. Amit Kumar aka, Dr. Santosh Raut 40 was the mastermind behind an illegal organ- trafficking ring in India Mumbai. Kidneys were either bought or stolen from poor Indians. The kidneys were sold to wealthy patients at price of $ 30,000 whereas the owner of the kidney was paid $2500.

Indian press dubbed him “Doctor Horror” where as Toronto star newspaper said that Mr Kumar bought a house worth $610,000 last April. In a period of eight years 500 people have been operated and their kidneys have been transplanted forcibly later which were transplanted to foreign patients. The most shocking news is that Mr Kumar is not a licensed surgeon since 1993 when he was accused of running an illegal kidney racket in Mumbai.

His brother and another doctor were involved in this latest scam in India. This gang targeted the poor workers. The poor workers were being taken from the point where they use to assemble hoping to be offered daily work. Mr Kumar and his brother use to offer them work and later either pursue them to sell their kidney if not kidneys were being taken forcibly. These workers were either threatened or bribed not to report this to the local Police.

A poor day labour Mohammad Salim woke up after the surgery in severe pain was told by a masked man that “we have taken your kidney”, “if you report we will shoot you”. Mr Kumar was arrested by by Nepalese police when he fled to neighbour country after his cruel practice was highlighted in Media.
After his arrest a house belonging to him was being raided by the police in Delhi. Later it was found that nearly 600 kidneys were being taken either by purchasing it or forcibly. It was discovered that five tourists, including two Americans and a waiting list of 30 foreigners from five different countries were waiting for the kidneys. Due to the lower cost of medical care in India it was centre of attraction for people in the need of cheap kidneys.

I think people involved in such organized crime should be ashamed that they are giving a bad name to such a respectable profession. People who are taking the benefit of the poverty stricken people should be ashamed of themselves. Such practice is against the medical ethics and organ transplant laws. No matter how much we condemn this practice still it will be less.

Girl of Nine Was Prescribed Antibiotics, Was Given Heroin Substitute

A girl of nine was prescribed antibiotics but was given heroin substitute methadone instead by a negligent chemist. Thanks God the girl saw male patient name on the medicine and told her grand dad about it.

The medicine was actually prescribed for a heroin addict and the quantity of the medicine was 40ml. Her mother contacted the pharmacy and told what was happened as we all know in such circumstance the pharmacy will hide the shameful event so they demanded the methadone back.

Her mother wanted to take the methadone to lawyer, later CID were sent to their home to collect the medicine. The medicine was handed by the Alliance Pharmacy- part of Giant Boots Chain. She was offered £200 pounds compensation by the lawyer who was acting on the behalf of the pharmacy.
A Sun doctor Carol mentioned some after effects of the dose depending upon the strength of the dose. Firstly she would have collapsed and in extreme worse circumstances she could have been seriously ill and her breathing may have stopped.

Giving a child methadone instead of antibiotics is a very shameful news, but the more shameful is the compensation she was offered. One of the Boots spokesman said to the sun that they take patient safety very seriously and have robust operating procedures in place to minimise the likelihood of this type of incident.

But why did it happen in the first place. I think they have duty of care towards the patients. If there is some negligent behaviour on the behalf of their staff and there is a breach of duty than by law she has a right to sue.

Joey Barton faces more legal action

Seems like Joey Barton is in the news for the wrong reason every day, having just served time for an assault in Liverpool, he could yet face more legal action. In 2004 Joey Barton assaulted team mate James Tandy at his old clubs Christmas party. It is alleged that Barton stubbed a lit cigar in the eye of his former team mate Tandy.

Mr Tandy, 23, says the attack ruined his career and sparked a “major psychiatric deterioration”. He said: “That incident destroyed my life.” He has now begun legal action to sue Barton. 
Barton now plays for Newcastle United, at the time of the attack he was fined £60,000 by his old club Man City. He has only recently been released from jail as he was detained for 74 days of a 6 month sentence, after being caught on CCTV attacking a teenage boy in Liverpool.

Barton is also on a suspended sentence for assaulting another former teammate, the assault happened against Ousmance Dabo on the training ground whilst he was still a City player.

Willie McKay, Barton’s agent said he knew nothing about any new legal action.

Moonlighting Police officer that advertised on a popular escort website named Notorious Girls has been suspended from Northumbria police force. The WPC worked as a hooker and earned as much as £100 per hour by entertaining punters with sexy lap dances wearing kinky knee high boots.
