PROFITABLE BUSINESS PROPOSAL‏ Scam

October 18, 2008 by afridi

The scammers around the world sit and think about different ways of ripping people off their hard earned money. Sometimes they will send you email stating that they have such amount of money and they want to transfer it to your country and you will get x amount commission for helping them do that. They will also mention in email that they have got your email id from internet and they think you are the trust worthy person.

This week the email I received was for a business proposal. The sender was interested in doing business with me. The sender in the end is using the same technique of the scammer asking for personal details. I know for sure that if I reply this to this email the next email will be regarding my bank details and then after that it will lead to a money transfer.

This is how email scam works.

Again our advice to you is ignore it.

YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS HAS WON £500,000‏ Scam

Don’t get excited when you received an email saying that your emails have been selected and you have won an amount of money. In order to process your application they will ask for personal information from you. These emails are sent by organized gangs and they send thousands of emails to different people.
If you decide to give them the personal information than in next email they will be asking for some cash in order to fully process you application. Once you have sent the cash you will never receive anything from them.

For information I am pasting the email as it was sent to me. Check the mistakes in the emails. This will give you a clear example of the sender’s knowledge.
The best way to get rid of such email is to ignore them.

Bidware.com / Powhost.com Scammed Me Beware

September 15, 2008 by daveleeroy

I’m writing this as I am one of the thousands of people who have been scammed
by the website and company bidware www .bidware . com, Now these guys are offering there service of if you sign up to the domain and hosting which costs a fortune $158 in total for a domain name and 2 months hosting. Then they setup up your auction site.

Now I was caught out by these as I signed up for 2 months and paid for a domain name and was charged double the amount, because I couldn’t pay by the way they wanted me to. So anyway I paid for the domain name and the hosting and it took them 3 weeks to setup my site.

when I was told it was ready, I clicked on it and all errors came up, So I wrote to the person I had been dealing with called ”Chris” Chris told me that he would not be dealing with me anymore and to do the myself and told me to f**k off.

I have kept emailing him but he only replies with abusive emails.
So far he has called me a limy bas***d, limy is an abusive word for British!!!!! And don’t think my dealings have finished yet because they haven’t, so as I go on, I kept trying to do my site on my own I managed to do. When I emailed him I was told that he didn’t like me cause I was British and that he would be cancelling my site straight away.

I had enough so I said fine and that I want the domain name that I had paid for!!!!
He replied saying he was NOT going to give me the domain name as I hadn’t paid for it when I have proof that I did. I replied back telling him I had paid and that the domain name was rightfully mine, Well he replied with words I cannot write in this message as it won’t be published but let’s put it this way his language was disgusting!!!!!!

I am struggling to know what action to do next so if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

Admin: Shamed staff managed to get hold of Chris from Bidware and we asked him for a response to the allegation, this is what he had to say.

LOL! That’s a customer who was given a discount, who still complained. He never paid $158. He paid $29 (for 2 months hosting (worth $20), installation (worth $65), and the software (worth $75), so you can see he was trying to scam us first, then realized that he can’t get it all for free, so he got mad and posted this lie on the web. Tell me, where is his proof of all his payments??

Chris

The Great DP Scam

August 13, 2008 by Brian Nicholson

The Big DP Scam…

Colin Crawford aka Cheap SEO Services posted a thread on a popular webmaster forum, on the 18th March 2008 offering “Cheap SEO Services/King of Kings SEO Guaranteed Service (Reports/Evidence) ($29 A Month)” read the full story here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=757370

Cheap SEO Services stated “Compensation is 100% money back as promised.” Just about the time that refunds were due, Colin Crawford posted again telling people that King of Kings has taking over the business. Here is the link http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=915474 then King of Kings disappeared with all the money, apparently Colin Crawford sent all the cash to him.

It appears 50k was made from the scam, lots of reputable members paid into his service and lost.

It’s all well and good buying into something that offers a money back guarantee, but how do you know that it will be honoured? People sometimes offer a guarantee in order to convince you that your money is safe. As you can see by the post, the guarantee helped the scanner to reassure buyers, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Update: On 10th September Colin AKA Cheap SEO Services posted on DP that he had decided to refund all the customers that he owed money too with regards to “first page on Google” service that he offered.

The refunds will be done in order that the customers paid, you can view the post here.

A DP member nobluff has posted that he has indeed received a refund from Colin.

It is great news that Colin stayed around and faced the music; he is also trying to correct his error of judgement. I will keep following this tread in order to keep our readers updated.
