Man Died of Stabbing

A man who was stabbed on an estate in Partington, Manchester is reported dead. He was 23 years old his named is disclosed by the police. According to details Donald Donlan had been stabbed several times and was taken for treatment to Trafford General Hospital.

He died later. His death has been linked with the ongoing different factions in the area. The Chief Superintendent Janette McCormick, head of Greater Manchester Police said that

“This tragic incident has left Donald’s family and the wider community devastated.

 “We are grateful to this close-knit community’s support in our inquiry so far, but appealing for anyone with any information around the circumstances surrounding Donald’s murder to get in touch with us.”

 He said: “We have now put high visibility patrols in place, including community contact points and we have set up confidential telephone lines.

 “We have been working throughout the day with community leaders to ensure that people in the area still feel safe, and this will continue.

 “Incidents of this nature are very rare in Partington.”

The influential groups and the MP’s have criticised the effort of the government in reducing the stab crimes. According to them government approach is very slow. The group also mentioned the increase of the number of 15 to 17-year-olds carrying knives between 1998 and 2006 as “worrying”.

It is shame that despite of the effort the government “knife crime” is increasing day by day in United Kingdom.
